Greetings, true believers! Happy 4th of July, fellow Americans, and to everyone else, happy Saturday!

Lets see, it's been awhile, so I'll shift gears for a sec to back up so we are caught up.

My computer went bad on me again...about the end of April, beginning of May. Comp kept freezing up and slowing to a crawl so I couldn't do ANYTHING from the winlogon program being affected by some sort of spyware or something changing part of it or something. Made it so 99% of the computer's memory was being devoted to it, making fans buzz and things glow like the whole thing was reaching critical mass and about to blow. Diiiiiidn't like that, as I've had a motherboard go before with the smell of smoke and a series of loud bangs, so I went digging to find out the cause of the problem. Here's something I learned though, that trial versions of anti-virus programs NEVER do anything after the trial period is up. Fun huh? I had a backup from mid-March or so though, so I didn't lose everything this time, but did have to get help to re-install windows and a lot of other stuff again though, which was SO FUN.

This time I went slowly, getting everything double checked and buying a pretty good, full version security program. Around this time Resident Evil 5 had come out, and I started playing that. Boy, was that fun. Until my PS3 abruptly started to stop reading disks. I still was getting my PC sorted at the time(for example, I couldn't get sound on my speakers until about two weeks ago.), but managed to get it figured out that I needed to send in my PS3 to Sony for repairs. Backing up my hard drive cost over a hundred dollars to get an external hard drive, awhile to configure it so that it could be recognized by my PS3, and a hundred fifty for them to fix it. They had free shipping and sent me the box though, which was nice enough, send it out, wait a week or so, and got it back. I was surprised the backup worked as well as it did, though I'm miffed it doesn't remember the trophies I've gotten on various games, but haven't connected it to the network yet, so maybe thats why.

As for my classes, I passed (I know, I was shocked too with all the bad stuff happening!), and am currently engaged in summer classes. I must apologize yet again, it seems, for DA was a luxury I couldn't engage in at the time of difficulty I was having, but I will attempt to gradually involve myself more here again. That and I've been suspicious of DA and didn't want to get on until I had my spyware definitions up-to-date as well. This is my opinion though, but through the recent experiences I've had with my computer I've become more....cautious, in some regards. That and after sinking a crapton of time and money on it, I'd rather it not crash again if possible. >.o

Personally though, I wanted to come back with something semi-positive, and not just using this as a soap box to bitch to everyone who would stop and listen about my problems. I've been a TAD bummed lately, I'll admit, but I wanted to turn that around, so I wanted to make a record of that positive effort here for myself, and for others to see and use as well. I realize I'm rather blessed with food, a car, house, ect..., so I don't want to dwell on the things that trip me up when others got it worse.
